The journey of North Bali Paws
North Bali Paws began as a grassroots, community-based animal rescue group and shelter, nestled in the Buleleng regency of North Bali, near areas like Kaliasem and Lovina. Our main reason for starting was simple: to make a tangible difference in the lives of stray, sick, and abandoned dogs. We saw a need for dedicated care and protection, and from that vision, North Bali Paws was born.

My journey began in 2019 when I relocated from Java to Bali alongside my seven dogs. Having been surrounded by canine companions since childhood, my deep bond with animals made it impossible to ignore the profound suffering of Bali’s stray population. What started as personally feeding community dogs and rescuing vulnerable puppies quickly evolved into a lifelong mission.
To formalise this vital work and secure its long-term impact, I established our official foundation in February 2023. We focus heavily on legal compliance and sustainable solutions to animal welfare challenges. Today, our core mission is population control and disease prevention, which we achieve by organizing mass sterilisation and vaccination campaigns for both stray and owned dogs across the island.
